Plea De Blanc Hotel & Residence

1) superb location. at Mipo end of Haeundae Beach. lots of eateries in surrounding area. on lovely dry day, the beach is literally at door step (a few minutes walk) and you can have a really nice stroll to the city centre. Bus stop around the corner ( to Centum City, Haeundae Station Exit 5 a major pickup point for bus tours etc), walk to Haeundae Blue Line Park ( for beach train or sky capsule or walk the board walk all the way to Songjeon station), call a taxi to Yonggunsa Temple (about 20mm away, and drop into Lotte Premium Outlet mall nearby the Temple if you’ve time). we didn’t take the subway but they are nearby too. 2) most important was the washer and dryer LG TROMM 9 kg machine- so quiet and powerful!!! (wash is about 1hr, standard dry time is about 3.5hrs… and there is an inbuilt drying rack drawer built into the wardrobe!!!) 3) Daily housekeeping, 4) friendly front desk staff who were not proficient in English but made every effort to understand what we requested (through mobile app translation).

This is my second time booking this hotel. Although the hotel couldn't find our booking when we checked in, after a long communication between the hotel staff and Booking, we were given a large suite for four people in Building B. It was really unexpected. The room can only be described as perfect, with a large kitchen, a large refrigerator, a large living room, a comfortable bed, and a nice view. This is the cleanest room we have stayed in on this trip. It's really great.

The room was spacious. The included washing machine is great! There was all the basic kitchen equipment and daily fresh towels. Gym access is also good and there is a convenience shop on the ground floor. There is also a place to wash your feet from sand on the ground floor if you’re coming from the beach - which is literally just across the street. We loved that there was a bidet and the bathroom was overall really nice. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were also included. There was quite a lot of storage space.

- location : the hotel is conveniently located 10 12mn walking from Haeundae station, and you have bus stops close to the hotel as well. The beach is also only 2mn away or 3 if you have to wait at the traffic light. You have convenience stores right next to the building and tons of restaurants/cafés since you're literally by the beach. Be careful as the hotel actually has rooms in two buildings (A and B) so you need to check your building before getting to your room. The receptionist will give you a plan anyway so you wont get lost. Make sure you go to the correct reception desk, there are many companies/hotels renting rooms in the buildings so go to the Plea de Blanc reception and then follow the staff's directions for building A and B. - room : my room was very spacious and clean, with pots and everything to cook and do the dishes. The hotel provides shampoo, conditioner and shower gel (although it looks like shampoo and body wash are the same thing... I found it not too gentle for the skin) BUT no toothbrush/toothpaste so bring your own (or buy it at the reception desk for a fee). You also have slippers for the room and slippers for the bathroom, and towels (BIG towels and smaller ones) The view was quite clear so the room wasnt dark and sunlight not hidden by high buildings. You also have sockets near the bed which is convenient. The room itself is quiet, you don't hear anything from the outside, the only inconvenience I experienced was travelers upstairs who were more stomping/walking heavily but this is unrelated to the room itself. - other : there is cleaning of course, and while I checked in, the receptionist asked about cleaning time, saying I would have to be outside the room for two hours for the cleaning to be done, and I chose the time.

Location was brilliant - subway very close and wonderful walks along the coastline. Close to Hyundae Food Street where we first fell in love with honey hotteok and kimchi dumplings. Such incredible Korean food.
